A downloadable game for Windows

A combat platformer about summoning. Find magical items and battle your way to the top of the tower while fighting maniac evil wizards whose spells defy understanding.

Note: You can dash with left shift, though it uses stamina. You can recover stamina by picking up the green potions. The rest of the controls are on the menu page.

Made with Love2D. Features hand-made pixel art and an array of custom-made soundtracks. Sorry that Fellwand is currently not browser-playable, as I didn’t see an option to embed .exe files in the browser. The download is only 9MB however, if that’s any compensation.

I’m currently looking into a way to get a macOS download or browser-playable version.

Known bugs:

  • There is a known bug with anvil hitboxes: they are not in-line with the sprite. I would fix it, but I don’t know how :/
  • You may experience slight glitchiness when colliding with the corners of other entities. This is because I made my own collision logic, so it's not quite perfect.
  • You may be able to collide with summons from your own Explosive Staff (#FeatureNotABug).

Past fixes:

  • Fixed an issue allowing summoners to collide with their own summons.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the game from running due to engine problems on some computers.
  • Fixed a scaling issue causing text to be differently sized on some monitors.
  • Fixed a scaling issue by adding windowed mode, since the game was often partially obscured in fullscreen mode on certain monitors (thank you to those of you who reported this :)
  • Fixed an issue preventing music from looping while the window is minimized.
  • Fixed an issue where certain hints would appear in-game but not on the menu screen.

Install instructions

1. Extract/unzip all files in Fellwand.zip

2. Run Fellwand.exe

3. Windows may complain, due to the low number of downloads so far. You can click "more info" and "run anyway." This is normal for small indie games. Unfortunately I cannot do much about it.
